INTRODUCTION

The Watershed Conservation Authority (WCA) is a joint powers entity of the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District.

The Board of Directors of the WCA consists of 8 members; 7 voting and 1 non-voting. The composition of the board of directors of the WCA is specified in the Watershed Conservation Authority Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Amendment. The appointment criteria, and the names of the board members and their designees are listed below.

5.1. The Governing Board of the Authority shall consist of seven (7) voting members and one (1) non-voting member as follows:

1. Three voting members appointed by the Governing Board of the RMC, none of whom shall be a member appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors..

2. The four voting members of the Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, or their designees, who represent the areas or portions thereof contained within the territory for the RMC.

3. The Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works shall serve as a non-voting, ex officio member of the Governing Board.
